Stories spark imagination and help girls learn about themselves and the world. A World of Girls helps engage Brownies in this wider world or stories in a way that gets them looking for clues to help make the world a better place. Animal Shelter Tour!

We had a great and informative time at the Montgomery County Animal Shelter. It might have been a little sad but I think it made the girls realize how important it is that we take care of our animals and help take care of all animals which is a big part of our Journey. Also at the end of our Journey we will be doing a fundraiser/donation drive for the animal shelter so it was important to see what we would be raising money for. I hope there wasn't too many pleas for puppies and kitties when they got home! :D

The girls are too young to do any real volunteering at the shelter but they did allow them in the Kitty Rooms which was really neat. The rooms are full of cat houses and climbing trees and cats of course. They had fun playing with the cats and I'm sure the cats loved the attention. We also walked through the dog kennels. So many dogs!!! So sad!!!
